St Cecilia’s Hall offers a wide range of tours and guides to take you through our galleries.

Bloomberg Connects Digital Guide

Enhance your visit to our Museum by using our free digital guide. Featuring over 150 instruments and audio clips, over 50 videos, and guides created by our expert curators, this guide is perfect for small groups and individual visitors looking to see our collections and building at their own pace. The guide can be translated to multiple languages and also allows you to browse through our events.


Weekly volunteer-led tours

Every month, our volunteers lead FREE weekly tours, covering various sections of our collection. From early keyboard instrument, to bagpipes, to playing music together, each tour offers a new insight into our displays.

The tours usually take place in the afternoon and last approximately an hour.

Educational Tours

Educational tours can be booked for school visits. These must be pre-arranged, please contact SCHGroupVisits@ed.ac.uk to do so. School visits and educational workshops are FREE for UK-based schools. Group Tours

For groups of more than 5 people, St Cecilia’s Hall can offer private group tours. These must be pre-arranged in advance. To do so, please contact SCHGroupVisits@ed.ac.uk. Pricing for private tours is £3.00 per person.
